Serpentine pulley available on request, as well as other repair and replacement parts. Internally regulated at 14.6v. See specs below for more detail.
These alternators are ready to install. Just follow the directions.
Charge your battery before installation of the Alternator.
Failure to do so WILL shorten the life of your alternator.
In the event your unit does not work
1) Recheck your connections.
2) Make sure a good Dash Alternator light bulb is in the circuit
NO DASH ALTERNATOR LIGHT= NO CHARGING
Do Not use an LED bulb for the warning light
Please Note! It may be necessary to reverse the large bushing on the mounting ear in order to fit properly.
Additionally, Check the clearance between the lower alternator adjusting arm and the alternator fan to make sure there is no binding after the install. If not slide the lower arm off it’s post and cut or grind about ¼ inch of material to get the proper clearance from the fan. If your belt doesn’t fit see your local auto parts store and take your old belt with you. They will be able to fit you up with the right size belt. MGC required Napa #25-9420. A narrower number is 25-7410.
Wiring: You will only need to do some simple wiring.
1.) Remove the Lucas plug
2.) Using eyelets (provided) attach Large and Small Solid Brown wires from the starter along with the Large Red wire (S) on the new plug, to the battery post on the alternator.
3.) Connect the Small Brown (L) on the new plug to the Brown with yellow tracer from the wire harness (this is the alternator light on the dash and must be in good working order). (Provided are 1/4 inch male/female spade connectors.)
4.) The remaining Brown wire (F) and Gray wire (P) on the new plug, can be cut off If desired.
Please charge your battery before installation of the Alternator.
Note: Bushing may need to be reversed to fit and acquire better alignment.

Great Upgrade
Fitted to my 1972 Mini. I was not expecting it to fit without a lot of monkeying around and maybe even some fabrication of some sort. Wrong. It fit perfectly, almost. I did have to grind a bit off the stock adjusting bracket - not a big deal at all. Instructions were clear and didn't have to deviate from them at all. It puts out a rock solid 14.7 volts. I can turn on every auxiliary at idle and the voltmeter barely moves and recovers quickly. Great service. Would certainly recommend!

MGB alternator
My order for the alternator was processed promptly and shipped. Upon receiving it I found it to be professionally packaged with clear instructions. I would definitely order other products they provide as needed.

Great!
Instructions are very clear which makes installation easy. Having the pulley installed and the alternator body already set up is great. This was installed in a 1974 MGB (chrome bumper) with the Moss air conditioner. It fits perfectly. The only alteration I had to make was to shorten the adjuster bracket.

Solid Upgrade for MGB
The improvement over the 43 amp unit is remarkable.Solid Kit. I do recommend adding one more of the yellow crimps. It comes with 2. But I like to keep my wires individualized. I had some around, but not every one will. The MG actually has lights now.
