Product Description
A replacement circuit board to convert a Smiths RVI tachometer to RVC. In other words it will work with points or newer electronic distributors. It also works with ECU outputs.

The board is negative earth and will convert positive earth tachometers to negative earth unless the optional positive earth kit is included. Select option for positive earth above.
Fits Smiths/Jaeger RVI
Many tachometers from the early 1960s are not marked with the Smiths Logo
such as UK built Fords, Datsun ( built under licence in Japan) and Volvo.

200 Hz is 6000 rpm
100 hz is 3000 rpm
50 hz is 1,500 rpm
6 cylinder engines - Links below are active
300 Hz is 6000 rpm
200 Hz is 4000 rpm
100 hz is 2000 rpm
50 hz is 1,000rpm

SPIYDA Smith's Tach conversion kit
I used it on a 1970 XKE S2 Smith's tach. Ran into a couple of issues. New board required to tap a 6X34 machine screw. I had to ground the casing as the old board had a ground solder joint. Everything else lined up.
