The 123\BMW-4-R-V is designed for M10 engines, in the BMW :
– 1600, 1602, 1602Ti
– 1800, 1800Ti, 1802
– 2000, 2000Ti, 2000Tii
– 2002, 2002Ti, 2002Tii, 2002Turbo
– 316, 318, 518, 320, 520 (before 1978!!)
The gear on the BMW 4-R-(V) causes the ignition to turn Clockwise.
If you have a newer type M10 engine (e.g. in the BMW E21 after 1978) a gear that turns Counter-Clockwise (CCW) is needed, as well as a distributor to which it fits.
You need to transfer this gear from the old ignition.
The 123\Switch units are easy to install. Preprogrammed original manufacturer ignition curves.
