I could not install the distributor myself so a very good friend provided some much needed assistance. He got my 914 running better than it ever had since I owned the car, approximately 10 years. I am extremely grateful to him and you.

The distributor instructions were difficult for me to follow. a good friend helped me install the distributor and get the car running again. After he got everything up, running and perfectly tuned it still is running better than it ever has. Thank you very much for manufacturing a product that makes such a difference in older vehicles. I appreciate it greatly.

What a difference...idles at 950. Still finding the proper rpm/advance settings But what a tremendous improvement over the last distributor!

Good: Manufacturing quality and ease of use is high, installation is straightforward, and the mechanical fit, form, and functionality of the unit is good, and a nice upgrade over the stock unit. Manual includes clear instructions for install and setup (although it doesn't detail the fairly simple but not entirely intuitive D-jet integration). Bad: The app is fairly unstable, and particularly prone to fail to reconnect to the distributor after the car has been running, which is annoying, and sometimes disconnects mid-flash, resulting in tunes that are very broken, potentially with overlapping functions, so be careful to double check your read after writing a new tune. The app also allows you to select your units of preference, but only changes them on the dashboard display, still requiring conversion on the tuning screen, which is also annoying. Not yet determined: My vacuum advance curve is not behaving as described, and even seems to vary in behavior over the rev range of the engine. Currently working with Albertronic support to attempt to diagnose the issue. Could be user error, a firmware glitch, or failed hardware out of the box.
