I drove a few km so far, but since it was installed in my '73 BMW 2002, the engine runs smoother and cold starts are easier.
Installed and timed the switch version in my '75 BMW 2002 the other day replacing a fairly new IE full centrifugal advance unit that was in the car when purchased a few months ago. I'm currently evaluating advance curve 2 and notice the motor seems to run and accelerate better. As time allows I will try different advance curves but would like to see plots of the16 different advance curves. More information on these curves would be very helpful.
Instructions were adequate to install the unit. The rotor seems to not fit as positively as I would have hoped but so far it has not been a problem. No oil leaks using the single rubber "O" ring seal included but do wonder if the second indent on the shaft higher up may also be used as a second O ring location for insurance.
